As the managing partner of Astor Financial, Rob Stein doesn’t just talk the talk about Exchange-Traded Funds, he has developed several successful investment programs that invest exclusively in ETFs.
While building these programs, Mr. Stein found it difficult to find and research ETFs. His frustrations led to the creation of ETF Port.
Mr. Stein began his career as a project analyst for the Federal Reserve. He has held senior trading or portfolio management positions with Bank of America, Harris Bank, Continental and Barclays. In 1994 he formed Astor Financial, LLC, and later formed Astor Asset Management, LLC.
Mr. Stein is often featured in major print and broadcast business news media, and is the author of The Bull Inside the Bear, Inside Greenspan’s Briefcase, and Charting a Profitable Investment Course with Active Management.

Althea Trevor joined ETF Port in 2008 as a senior analyst. She is responsible for the fundamental and technical ETF research featured on the site and in ETF Port’s subscription services and newsletters. She graduated from the University of Chicago with a BS in Economics. She currently serves on the board of the Hoja Project, an international charity that seeks to promote secondary education and HIV/AIDS awareness in rural Tanzania.
